A repairman was changing the lock on the ATM machine around 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at a Bank of America in Corpus Christi, Texas and somehow got himself locked inside the small room that contains the machine at a Bank of America on and the only way he was able to let people know was by sending “help me” notes through the receipt slot when someone made a withdraw.
You would think he would be able to send a text message or make a phone call, but he had left his phone in his truck.
“He left his phone in his truck, he’s installing a new lock on the door, and he gets locked inside the building where the ATM is,” Officer Richard Olden of Corpus Christi Police told KRISTV 6 News.
One of the notes collected by the local television news station read:
Fortunately for him, he did have paper and a pen.
According to police, some bank customers thought it was a joke until one person decided to call authorities.
